Then again, for people's records with engineer, they do not do much, the turret does all the work. 160 kills with pyro, on the other hand, is amazing.
I surely must disagree. Here, let me clear up this matter. For starters, engineers have to keep their turrets filled and fueled. Furthermore if the turret is placed in a wrong spot, it either will not hit the enemy, or will quickly be destroyed by opposing forces. The only way to prevent this is to be up against gamers that can not handle engineers well. However a simple arrow shot by the archer can already take you out when you are refueling your sentry.
Secondly, the engineer will have to place their turret, fill it, and get away, before it can deal mass damage. During this time, the engineer is highly vulnerable, because of its weak armor, and because it needs to go into the dispenser's inventory to place arrows. Even though this does not really take all that long, the chances are great of someone noticing, and even greater of being killed during returning towards home base, unless that is done by a portal.
In this case, the portal can easily be destroyed, leading to an empty sentry. Which will be taken out. The main reason engineers rack up kills is because their enemy is dull enough to simply rush at the sentry, instead of trying to obliterate the corresponding engineer.
Lastly, 160 kills is amazing for either class, so I take it as a slight exaggeration. And the pyro can easily and safely rack up kills by setting fire to anyone coming too close. This makes them as vulnerable to archers as the engineer, and thus the accomplishment of the amount of kills is not greater than that of an engineer.
