A Paladin~ Willing to risk thys life in order to save anothers...Hey guys, so basically this "Paladin Class" would be a real team player. He would essentially be able to survive lots of damage and protect others. So here is "The Paladin!" PALADINARMOR- Diamond legs and boots and helmet. Iron Chestplate. Has 3 steaks. 1 healing potion. WEAPONS- Iron sword with knockback 1 ( To keep enemies away) SPECIAL ABILITYS- Can "Guard" someone by right clicking a fellow teammate with a feather. Guarding means that any damage done to a teammate being guarded is halved and if the teammate is headshotted, the headshot will not work and will basically be a regular arrow shot. Only one teammate can be guarded at once. A Paladin cannot be headshotted either yet can still be insta killed by pyros. If the Paladin is 15 blocks away from the teammate being Guarded, the guard ability wears off. If the teammate being guarded happens to be killed, the guard ability is gone and must be used again. WEAKNESSES- Paladins can easily be killed by pyros or engineers, or even a good archer. Being swarmed by 2 heavies is also a good strategy when fighting paladins. STRATEGIES FOR PALADINS- Paladins are very effective when wanting to protect a flagholder. Also if going for a good killstreak combo with a friend, perhaps the friend would be a chemist to buy the paladin and the chemist can stay alive even longer with the paladins help. Paladins guarding heavies would be very effective also because it would mean the heavy would survive EVEN LONGER. Paladins with a good ninja would be effective because the ninja could kill enemies fast while surviving longer due to the paladins "Guard". Paladins are good for defense due to their knockback sword and strong armor. BEST OF ALL? Paladin with ANOTHER Paladin would be very effective and strong combo. Anyways guys, thanks for reading and I hope you can really give some tips and improvements! Thanks guys. Edited by user Friday, August 10, 2012 7:33:27 PM(UTC)

mabye instead of a feather, you have a book that you can write with because those look really awesome, and fit the whole magic theme. |

Really cool idea--this class idea actually seems to be balanced, unlike some other class ideas that I have seen. Maybe, every time the person you are guarding gets hit, the guarder takes a small amount of damage, as if you were "injured" trying to defend them. |

If your teammate takes half the damage, paladin gets the other half... maybe an enchantment table instead of a feather.. or a book and quil.. decent Idea |

Who cares whatever he hits them with, it doesn't matter. Even though i think the feather is a good choice as feather represents something that is light, meaning it makes the damage received more light (if you get my point :D ).
Really good idea |

Lol,I do think CTF would be cool with more classes but I would still like heavies and archers, because even though they are free, they can be very effective on some maps. Yet, I do see where you are going with that post so thanks :P |

Nonsense? Go to hunger games, if you want many classes. CTF is good as it is - the only thing that still misses is Scout which soon will be included, I think :D CTF doesn't need more classes because it's pretty balanced now - OP engineer in my oppinion and maybe a little bit too OP soldiers. The class idea is good, though, but I don't think CTF has a lack of classes. |

Besides scout, maybe one more premium class and one more free class and CTF will be perfect. |

i reckon that they should be as strict with kits as they are currently with classes, and let a couple more classes in. |

Thanks guys I'm getting great feedback. About the 4 paladins guarding 1 person, I believe I said that paladins can only guard one person and another paladin cannot guard that person. Anyways tho thanks for the responses guys, keep them coming! Edited by user Tuesday, August 14, 2012 11:03:00 AM(UTC)

The feather should be a holy potion and you just hit them with it just like the feather (you can't drink it, lol, it doesn't do anything anyway tho)
